The project to bring the former Tobacco Cooperative of Victoria facility in Myrtleford to life is now well underway. In addition to the new pelleting and packaging line, the site will become the administrative headquarters for our Victorian operations, as well as housing some laboratory activities, a machinery workshop, machinery storage, and cold storage for bales and finished goods. Any critical equipment with long delivery lead times has been ordered and the project is progressing as planned, with the expectation it will be operational in time for processing crop 2024.
HPA’s international directors will return to the farms for Aussie hop harvest for the first time since 2019 due to travel restrictions relating to COVID-19. Since then we’ve commissioned the Buffalo River Valley processing facility and completed our Victorian acreage expansion. Needless to say, they were fully supportive of these projects and are very excited to see them in person. They’ll visit both TAS and VIC, so don’t hesitate to say hello if they happen to stop by for a chat.
