Harvest
The countdown to Aussie hop harvest starts now!
Every March hundreds of brewers make the pilgrimage to Victoria’s High Country to meet our growers, tour our farms and facilities, and learn about our hops. This year, we’re celebrating the journey from paddock to pint with the addition of an immersive Hops Academy and the official launch of our newest hop!
This is one Aussie hop harvest you don’t want to miss. To be amongst the action, we recommend you stay in Bright. Click here for our advice on where to eat, drink, stay and play.
Farm Tours
Join us for a tour of our farms and facilities Monday 16 March – Friday 20 March. You’ll follow our Aussie hops through each stage of the production process, connecting with the people, places and products that bind Aussie agriculture and Aussie beer. This will include a behind-the-scenes look at Hop Central, our FSSC certified pellet plant, which means all guests must be prepared to follow our food safety procedures.
BarthHaas Hops Academy
Learn from one of the world’s leading hop experts Tuesday 17 March – Thursday 19 March. Dr Christina Schönberger is hosting BarthHaas Hops Academy half-day sessions at HPA Hop Central that will combine foundational hop knowledge, sensory training, liquid hop applications and benchtop trial techniques for sensory, quality and brewing professionals of all experience levels. Space is limited to ensure a personalised experience.
Barefoot Bowls, Brews & BBQ
It’s not all about hops. Kick off your shoes, grab a snag, crack a tinnie, and enjoy some friendly competition at the Bright Bowls Club on Tuesday 17 March.
Harvest Dinner
Celebrate this year’s season at Bright Brewery’s Harvest Dinner on Thursday 19 March, where we’ll officially launch our newest hop! Share a limited-edition beer or two with the team behind our breeding program as well as fellow brewers from across Australia and around the world.
